Installation

Pumping is an art installation by Joel Tauber that imagines a future when water is scarce and oil no longer exists; while it also looks back at the forces that built the sprawling city of Los Angeles. It is comprised of three video projections; and also includes, in its most complete form: train tracks, a giant metal “filmstrip”, a series of photographs, and a handcar sculpture.
